Long range benchrest (600 & 1000 yards) is a test of many things.  Shooting ability, reading conditions, precision rifle construction, optic quality, and consistent ammunition are just a few of the variables that must be controlled to win at this game.  Midwest Benchrest provides the facilities and structured environment necessary for fair competition.

If you’re interested in long range precision shooting, come join us for a friendly atmosphere, good food, and some serious competition!

Match Format:

Midwest Benchrest matches (Light Gun and Heavy Gun Classes) are sanctioned by the International Benchrest Shooters Association (IBS).  On match days, the range will open from 7:30-9 a.m. for sight-in.  A shooter can register for the match at any time until 9:30a.m.  Following a safety meeting, the match will begin around 10:00 a.m.  A hot lunch will be available around noon.  At 1000 Yards, we will shoot two complete matches (LG/HG/FAC before lunch and LG/HG/FAC after lunch).  600 Yard matches follow the standard IBS 4-target aggregate format.

The range will be open for practice/sight-in on the Friday afternoon (from 2-6p.m.) prior to the match weekend.  This is included with our club membership, or $20 for non-members.
